Osteopath D.O. · Manual therapy and mindfulness

Having grown up around medicine, caring for patients is my natural path. What sets me apart is my focus on finding the source of the pain by understanding the patient's environment and conditions, for more lasting results. I have enriched my osteopathy practice with mindfulness, and I welcome all ages, from infants to the elderly.

Frequently asked questions

Osteopathy in practice.

What is osteopathy ?
Osteopathic treatment is holistic and comprehensive; it investigates the root cause of loss of mobility by considering the body's overall functionality. This is not about "cracking bones", but rather working with body tissues such as muscles, joints and fasciae to restore mobility and relieve pain, and guiding patients towards appropriate alternatives when needed.
Should I bring anything specific to my first appointment ?
Yes, please bring along any x-rays or medical exam results if you have them.
What should I wear ?
There are no specific requirements about what to wear, so please feel free to wear what you like.
What should I expect during the first consultation ?
We will go through a thorough medical history, your symptoms and the reason for your visit. This gives us a starting point to understand the origin of your pain and begin the osteopathic treatment accordingly.
How long does the consultation last ?
Consultations take 45 minutes.
Does the treatment cause any discomfort or pain ?
Generally not, though minor sensitivity or discomfort may occur at certain points.
How many treatments will I need ?
The number of treatments depends on the reason for your consultation.
Is the treatment covered by the mutual ?
A Belgian mutual will partially cover at least five sessions per year. If you have any other health insurance, please check with your provider.
